TAMPA – Cincinnati basketball coach John Brannen called a meeting with Trevon Scott and Keith Williams.
At the hotel Tuesday afternoon, hours before tipoff at USF, Brannen delivered news and gave a simple message.
Star Jarron Cumberland wasn't able to play. A loss to the Bulls would likely kill off an NCAA Tournament at-large bid, but Brannen didn't need Scott and Williams to play like superheroes.
"We need Keith to be Keith and Tre to be Tre," Brannen said.
"They said, 'Coach, we’ve got you.
