The University of Cincinnati football sophomore offensive tackle is eligible to play in the Birmingham Bowl after the NCAA denied him immediate eligibility this season following his transfer from Michigan.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound former four-star recruit from Toledo said Tuesday his anticipation for game action is, "through the roof. I can't wait to get out there January 2nd. I'm counting down the days, been counting down the days since I got here. I can't wait."

Hudson's eligibility became a national story after the NCAA denied his final appeal to play in July.
