It was a rematch of 2019 NBA Finals teams as the Toronto Raptors met the Golden State Warriors in NBA Summer League action on Sunday. But it was former Cincinnati Bearcats standout Jacob Evans III who stole the spotlight, scoring a game-high 24 points and tying a team-high with eight rebounds in Golden State's 80-71 win.
Evans added four assists and a steal. He shot 9-for-19 from the field, including 2-for-5 from 3-point range.
The 22-year-old Evans, one of several players from UC or Xavier playing in the league, also led Golden State in scoring with 18 points in their opener last week against the Sacramento Kings.
