Instant analysis: Cincinnati Bearcats put up signature win over UCLA

LOS ANGELES - With a national television audience watching on CBS-TV, the University of Cincinnati got its first true signature win of the 2017-18 basketball season here Saturday.

The 25th-ranked Bearcats thumped formidable UCLA with surprising ease, 77-63, before 10,108 fans at Pauley Pavilion. UC had several hundred fans in the house, and they loudly let themselves be known as the Bearcats put it to the Bruins with strong defense and multiple, share-the-wealth offensive weapons.

Senior forward Kyle Washington led UC with a season-high 19 points. Junior wing Jacob Evans III had 16 points, senior forward Gary Clark had 10 points and 10 rebounds, and sophomore shooting guard Jarron Cumberland scored 10 points for UC, which shot 47 percent from the field.
