Order was restored for the No. 25-ranked University of Cincinnati basketball team Tuesday night, with a season-high home crowd of 8,128 watching.
UC cruised past unranked Mississippi State 65-50 at Northern Kentucky University's BB&T Arena, the Bearcats' temporary home while Fifth Third Arena is being renovated.
UC (8-2) was coming off two consecutive losses, to nationally ranked teams Xavier and Florida. Junior wing Jacob Evans led UC with a season-high 24 points. Senior forward Kyle Washington had 16 points and five rebounds, and senior forward Gary Clark had nine points and 13 rebounds.
UC players had seen their confidence slightly shaken by the two losses.
