PHILADELPHIA - It took nearly two months for the No. 20-ranked Cincinnati Bearcats to lose a football game this year. Despite defying preseason odds, UC naturally was in no mood to accentuate the positive after a 24-17 overtime loss to Temple here Saturday.
UC (6-1, 2-1 AAC East) led 17-10 with less than a minute left in regulation at Lincoln Financial Field, but nothing good happened thereafter.
"Obviously it's heartbreaking," UC senior defensive tackle Cortez Broughton said calmly. "It's obvious in the locker room. We lost a game we should have won."
