Houston's Kelvin Sampson suspends DeJon Jarreau for biting UC's Mamoudou Diarra

Kelvin Sampson changed his stance after further review.

The Houston basketball coach suspended starting junior guard DeJon Jarreau for Thursday's game against Tulane after Sampson said he determined Jarreau bit Cincinnati Bearcats' forward Mamoudou Diarra Saturday.

Sampson initially disagreed with the officials ruling to eject Jarreau in the second-half of UC's 64-62 victory because there was confusion regarding which opposing player Jarreau bit.

"In the initial video clip I requested and saw immediately after Saturday's game at Cincinnati, I did not believe there was a bite on (UC junior) Keith Williams," said Sampson in a statement Sunday.
