Here's how the Cincinnati Bearcats start AAC play with a win over the UConn Huskies

When the University of Cincinnati returned to practice this week, senior forward Trevon Scott sought out all the newcomers on the Bearcats’ roster. He had a specific point to get across – American Athletic Conference play will be tougher than they were probably expecting.

His message was timely. Cincinnati (7-5) starts its conference schedule against Connecticut (9-3) on Wednesday at Fifth Third Arena. Scott wanted to remind his teammates that the AAC is filled with physical defenses and great players.

Playing in an improved conference from last season, the Bearcats will have to realize their potential quickly to turnaround a slow start to 2019.
