Jowon Briggs, a former four-star recruit out of Walnut Hills High School who entered the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month, is coming home.
Briggs, who registered 20 tackles and three sacks last season in his first year for the Virginia Cavaliers, will join head coach Luke Fickell and defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman's defense.
The 6-foot-1, 310-pound defensive lineman will join the No. 9 team in FBS total defense, according to NCAA statistics. Briggs made the announcement Wednesday night via his Twitter account.
Brigss was the No. 2 prospect in Ohio for the 2018 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.
