Former UC star Jacob Evans III scores first NBA basket in Golden State Warriors' win

The Golden State Warriors improved to 3-1 this season with a 123-103 win against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, and rookie and former Cincinnati Bearcats standout Jacob Evans III scored his first NBA basket - a driving finger-roll layup - with about three minutes left in the game.

Evans averaged 3.2 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal in 18.5 minutes per game in the Warriors' five preseason games.

Evans became UC's first player selected in the NBA Draft since 2010 when the Warriors took him in June in the first round - 28th overall.
