The Cincinnati Bearcats football team is out of fall camp and back on campus.
Ordinarily, the team's focus would be game planning for the season-opener.
Not this year.
"It's completely different," head coach Luke Fickell said Sunday. "The next challenge we had is going back onto campus and doing the things we needed to do to continue to keep ourselves in good standings, meaning limiting our issues of COVID and the spread of COVID."
The University of Cincinnati starts its fall semester Monday. The Bearcats don't open the season until Sept. 19. So, the priority for Fickell, his staff and his players is doing what they need to do over the next four weeks to keep the COVID-19 outbreak out of their locker room.
