He might not have scored a big touchdown or forced the late fumble that helped seal the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl win, but center Jason Kelce, a former UC Bearcats standout, played a huge part - and has had his emotional post-game remarks shared by many on social media in the past few hours.
Kelce, recently named an AP All-Pro along with his brother, Travis, a fellow former Bearcats star and tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs, talked to reporters after the game about what he had overcome personally to become a Super Bowl champion - as a former walk-on linebacker for the Bearcats who switched to offensive line after redshirting, he was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft and missed most of the 2012 season after suffering MCL and ACL tears - as well as his team's resiliency.
