Desiree Reed-Francois is one of two finalists for UCLA athletic director, per report

Desiree Reed-Francois, a former senior associate athletic director for the Cincinnati Bearcats now at UNLV, is one of two finalists to become the UCLA Bruins' new athletic director, according to a report Wednesday from latimes.com's Ben Bolch.

Bolch also reported that Boston College's Martin Jarmond - the former deputy director of athletics at Ohio State University who succeeded former Miami University RedHawks athletic director Brad Bates at BC - is the other finalist, and an announcement could come before the end of the week.

Reed-Francois, who has been UNLV's athletic director since 2017, spent 14 months at UC as senior associate athletic director and interim AD (before UC hired Mike Bohn, now USC's athletic director) in 2013-14, while current Bruins head basketball coach Mick Cronin coached the Bearcats.
