College basketball Xtra: With COVID issues, where do Bearcats, Musketeers and Norse go from here?

In many ways, the 2020-21 college basketball season is a race to 13 games.

That’s the minimum number of contests a college basketball team needs to play to be eligible for the 2021 NCAA Tournament. The University of Cincinnati, Xavier University and Northern Kentucky University all have men’s basketball teams that are on pace to be eligible for the postseason.

But the Bearcats are currently on pause, the Musketeers are dealing with COVID-related issues at the moment, and NKU has had four games cancelled this season due to coronavirus concerns.

NKU is the only local Division One men’s basketball team that was in action this weekend with two games against IUPUI.
