Three-star linebacker Ty Sponseller has officially signed with the Cincinnati Bearcats for their 2016 recruiting class on National Signing Day.

OVERVIEW
Sponseller’s long legs allow him to reach his top speed seemingly effortlessly. I’m extremely impressed with his ability to get to the ball carrier or a pass quickly. Sponseller does a nice job understanding the play, tracking the quarterback’s eyes while maintaining focus on the receivers nearby, then jumping all over the pass. Plus his tackling instincts are top notch. He targets the midsection on tackles, plowing through a defender rather than using his arms to wrap up the legs or upper body.
