The Cincinnati Bearcats have added their 18th commitment of the 2016 recruiting class in the form of consensus three-star Florida athlete James Wiggins. As usual, 247 Sports was among the first to report the commitment and I’m admittedly a little late breaking down this prospect because, you know, life. Also not surprisingly, Wiggins was recruited by UC defensive backs coach and co-defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale, who was able to bring him in for an official visit following his decommitment from the Miami Hurricanes.
This was likely a result of the Al Golden firing, as Wiggins had been a solid verbal to the Canes since February of last year.
