University of Cincinnati quarterback prospect Desmond Ridder is officially a professional. The all-time leader in wins, yards and touchdown passes for the Bearcats was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL Draft.
Ridder finished his college career with a loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff.
Ridder, regarded as the third-best quarterback prospect in the draft, will compete for a starting job in an offense formerly run by Matt Ryan.
While it's unlikely Ridder will start the year as the top quarterback on the team, Ridder was regarded as one of the smartest signal callers in the draft.
