That sure was a whole lot of points. In their season opener, the Cincinnati Bearcats coasted to a 107-77 win over the Savannah State Tigers at BB&T Arena.
While the 30-point margin of victory illustrates dominance from the Bearcats, there were a few times where cracks in the armor showed. The Tigers actually led 13-8 early on after Juwant Grant nailed three-straight three-pointers. Then, after taking a 60-40 lead into halftime, the Bearcats found themselves leading by only seven points with 12:07 to play. Luckily, their immense depth of talent won out, as they went on a 22-3 run over the next six minutes to put the game to bed.
