Over the past week or so four Cincinnati Bearcats football players participated in the 2016 NFL Combine. Those would be UC’s offensive guard Parker Ehinger and wide receivers Chris Moore, Mekale McKay, and Johnny Holton.
As you can plainly see, Cincinnati’s career leader in receptions, Shaq Washington, isn’t on that short list. I mentioned how ridiculous it is that Shaq didn’t receive a NFL Combine invite, essentially due to his 5’9″ 175 lbs frame, when smaller players such as Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola have thrived at the professional level. It’s just a shame that a player with his resume wasn’t able to prove his agility, which I’m pretty confident would have allowed him to dominate the shuttle drills, on such a high profile stage.
