Cincinnati football checked in as the highest-ranked Group of Five team in the initial College Football Playoff rankings revealed on Tuesday.
The Bearcats were ranked No. 20, the best of five total Group of Five programs, four from the AAC.
Joining from outside the Power Five: No. 21 Memphis, No. 23 Boise State, No. 24 Navy and No. 25 SMU.
UC's only loss of the season came to No. 1 Ohio State.
