Luke Fickell didn't have to go far to find Cincinnati football's new defensive line coach.
Fickell has promoted Greg Scruggs, a former St. Xavier High School star, University of Louisville standout and NFL player who joined the Bearcats' staff in 2018 as Director of Player Development. Pete Thamel of Yahoo! Sports first reported the news.
At St. Xavier, Scruggs spent three years in the school marching band before joining the football team. He had nine sacks and 57 tackles for the Bombers' 2007 Ohio Division I state championship team.
