University of Cincinnati football coach Luke Fickell tied former Bearcats coach Rick Minter (1994-2003) for the most wins in program history Saturday night.
Cincinnati's 28-24 come-from-behind victory over South Florida marked Fickell's 53rd win (53-16) since he took over the program prior to the 2017 season.
"I didn't know that," Bearcats senior offensive lineman and team captain Dylan O'Quinn said. "But congratulations to him. That's big. Ever since he came in here, he's had a vision for this program, and he's done a hell of a job running through that."
Fickell's Bearcats (5-1, 2-0 AAC) recorded a season-low in penalties (four) and penalty yards (35) in the win against the USF Bulls (1-5, 0-2).
