The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team is among the eight-team field that will participate in the 2022 Maui Invitational.
The tournament announced Thursday that in addition to Cincinnati, the 39th annual event, which will take place Nov. 21-23, 2022, at the Lahaina Civic Center on the island of Maui in Hawaii, will feature Arkansas, Arizona, Creighton, Louisville, Ohio State, San Diego State and Texas Tech.

Teams that have participated in the invitational throughout the event's history own 69 of the 81 NCAA championships, and seven of those schools have gone on to win the national championship after competing in Maui earlier in the season.
