UC's Cronin discusses 34-point rout of Memphis Tom Groeschen
The most interesting things Mick Cronin said after his University of Cincinnati team's 82-48 win over Memphis on Sunday was not about the game, but rather his former boss Rick Pitino.
Pitino, fired as University of Louisville head basketball coach in October after the latest program scandal, recently was spotted wearing a UC polo shirt in Florida. Cronin, who worked as an assistant to Pitino at Louisville in the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons, was asked Sunday about the Pitino-UC shirt photo that has made the internet rounds.
