Before the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team's 25th victory of the season against Memphis Saturday night, most of the Bearcats basketball program was glued to the TV watching Central Florida break Houston's home winning streak, 69-64.
On the day ESPN GameDay came to the Fertitta Center to laud the Cougars and Kelvin Sampson, Johnny Dawkins and UCF had other plans. With the Knights win, UC now has a path to another American Athletic Conference title.
Houston and the Bearcats are 14-2 in the AAC with UCF 12-4.
