The Cincinnati Bearcats' football staff landed the 12th verbal pledge in the 2020 class on Tuesday.
Daved Jones, a 6-2, 200-pound three-star linebacker from West Chester (Lakota West High), announced his commitment on Twitter. He reportedly had scholarship offers from Michigan, Purdue, Minnesota and others.
"Thank you to the entire Cincinnati coaching staff for making me feel like part of the family already and believing in me," Jones wrote. "I still want some of that home cooking mama! I'M STAYING HOME!"
Jones is the seventh commitment from in-state Ohio high school players and the sixth on the defensive side of the ball in the Bearcats' 2020 class.
