John Newman III scored 11 points and Mika Adams-Woods added 10 in a losing effort, as the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team fell to South Florida 56-54 Saturday night in its final game of the season at Fifth Third Arena.
The Bearcats lost its third straight game and fifth in six outings since defeating the Bulls 70-59 Feb. 9 at their place.
Cincinnati honored graduate transfers Abdul Ado and Hayden Koval and walk-on Sam Martin before the game as part of the senior night festivities.
Seniors David DeJulius and John Newman III did not participate in the pregame ceremony, most likely signaling their intention to use the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
