The University of Cincinnati Bearcats football team dropped out of the top 25 in the Amway Coaches Poll as well as the AP Top 25 Poll, one week after ranking a season-best No. 21 in the Coaches poll and No. 20 in the AP poll.
The Bearcats, now 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the American Athletic Conference East, did receive 30 votes in the Coaches poll, good for 29th best. They received seven votes in the AP poll, which ranks them 35th.
The Bearcats suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday, falling 24-17 in overtime at Temple.
