On the whole, it was the best University of Cincinnati baseball season in seven years.
UC ended its 2018 season on Wednesday, losing a doubleheader in the American Athletic Conference postseason tournament in Clearwater, Florida. The No. 6-seeded Bearcats dropped their opener 6-2 to No. 3 seed Connecticut, then lost 9-4 to No. 2-seed South Florida in an elimination game. The tournament has a double-elimination format.
