The University of Cincinnati and Louisville are apparently renewing their rivalry in men’s basketball.
UC head coach John Brannen said on his Twitter account Thursday evening that the Bearcats would be facing the Cardinals Friday, Nov. 13 at Fifth Third Arena. The news came in a humorous exchange with Louisville head coach Chris Mack.
The teams have not played since Feb. 22, 2014, when Rick Pitino led the Cardinals into Fifth Third Arena and won 58-57. Louisville left the American Athletic Conference after that season for the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The game would mark Chris Mack’s return to Cincinnati.
