The University of Cincinnati football team finished a disappointing 4-8 in the 2017 football season, but coach Luke Fickell on Wednesday began signing a 2018 recruiting class that ranks highly among Group of Five schools.
At this writing, UC has the No. 1 recruiting class in the American Athletic Conference, No. 1 among Group of Five teams and is No. 48 overall nationally, according to 247Sports.com.
Rivals.com ranks UC No. 2 both in the AAC and among Group of Five Schools, behind only South Florida. UC ranks 46th overall in the Rivals rankings.
