Cincinnati Bearcats signee Jarron Cumberland has been named to the very large list of potential 2016 McDonald’s All-Americans, a prestigious honor that the likes of Lebron James and Kevin Durant have held.
Now, when we say “very large list”, we mean it. 755 high school seniors were nominated for the team this year. That includes boys and girls basketball, so the list that Cumberland is on is roughly half that size, maybe 370-or-so players. So that’s better? Ok, it’s still gigantic but given the way the UC signee has played this year there’s nothing saying he can’t stay on the list through March when the game is actually played.
