The Cincinnati Bearcats got a crucial win at home tonight, beating the Memphis Tigers 76-72 to move to 4-3 in the AAC.
This dub was critical in the respect that UC didn’t bury themselves in the conference standings. A win kept them with four in the AAC, the second most in the conference. A loss? The Bearcats would have joined the likes of Houston and Tulane as teams sliding down to the basement in the standings.
On top of that, the Tigers present Cincinnati with a quality win for their resume. Memphis isn’t Xavier or Iowa State but considering the Bearcats’ best win up until tonight was George Washington.
