The Cincinnati Bearcats broke a four-year curse tonight taking down the UConn Huskies 58-57 in the XL Center behind a Gary Clark free throw late in the game.
UC has quite literally been cursed for the better part of the last half-decade against UConn on the road. Three times since 2012 the Bearcats visited the XL Center and three times they left the court with their tails between their legs. Once Cincinnati lost in overtime, another they were ranked 11th, and last year they simply couldn’t hang onto a late lead. But tonight, Gary Clark saved them.
