The Cincinnati Bearcats beat the UConn Huskies in a thriller on Thursday night, 58-57 on a last second and-1 from sophomore Gary Clark. The win jolted UC up the AAC standings, from seventh all the way up to second in the conference. They now sit a comfortable two games behind 7-1 SMU with their next match up against the Mustangs in the friendly confines of Fifth Third Arena and pathetic South Florida upcoming on the schedule.
So Cincinnati could very easily continue putting space between themselves and third place Tulsa and Temple to challenge SMU for an outright American crown.
