John Brannen set the record straight about his relationship with star Jarron Cumberland.
The Cincinnati basketball coach indicated the perception he didn't get along with Cumberland was, "fabricated," and said the two often joked during the season about questions and rumors to the contrary.
"Love him," Brannen said Monday during a radio interview on 700WLW.
"During the course of my father's sickness, that young man was a rock for me. We would talk at night about it. He would check and see how dad was doing.
