Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats Survive Annual Rock Fight With USF 54-51

The Cincinnati Bearcats were favored by 15.5 points over the South Florida Bulls but won just 54-51. We should have known better than to trust Vegas.

If there’s any team that thrives in the mud like the Bearcats, it’s South Florida. In the last three years, despite UC typically being heavy favorites, they’ve only beaten the Bulls by an average of 6.6 points. It’s been five years since Cincinnati scored more than 61 points in this series. Unfortunately, when UC plays USF, it’s just going to be a low scoring slugfest.

Today was no different. The Bearcats scored just 26 points at halftime, their lowest point total in the first half of any game this year.
