The Cincinnati Bearcats cruised past the South Florida Bulls last night 88-57 to win their fourth straight game and secure their spot near the top of the AAC standings.
This was an atypical UC-USF game, those that usually slog their way along to a low-scoring ending that usually winds up in the 60’s at most. For the past five seasons the higher scoring team in this series has averaged just 56 points. Not tonight.
Sure it started off like any other game between these two teams, with both offenses struggling to find rhythm early. Then Cincinnati broke out of a 29-29 tie with one minute to go in the first half to go up 36-29 at halftime.
