The #23 Cincinnati Bearcats lost the 83rd Crosstown Shootout 65-55 to the 12th ranked Xavier Musketeers. The good news, UC held their intercity rivals to just 65 points, Xavier’s 2nd lowest point total of the season. The bad news? Pretty much everything else.
Sure, the Bearcats lost to the Musketeers by 10 points. That’s not that big of a deal and the actual score doesn’t really matter to me, unless it was a 20+ deficit or something. But it was the manner in which Cincinnati lost that concerns me.
UC came out flat footed against Xavier, an opponent they should always be prepared for.
