West Virginia University Mountaineers basketball head coach Bob Huggins, who was the head coach of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats from 1989 to 2005, thanked former Cincinnati Reds television broadcaster Thom Brennaman for coming to Morgantown to address Huggins' team, adding that Brennaman's message "isn't one of excuses but one of accountability."
Brennaman resigned from his play-by-play job with the Reds and Fox Sports Ohio in September - about one month after Brennaman was suspended for using a homophobic slur during a Reds-Royals broadcast.
