Bob Huggins issues statement on recent DUI, asks to return to West Virginia basketball

For the second time in a week, Naismith Hall of Fame basketball coach Bob Huggins is asking for his job back as West Virginia Mountaineers head coach.

Last Friday, Cleveland attorney David A. Campbell wrote a letter to West Virginia stating Huggins didn't compose the resignation letter posted by WVU on Saturday, June 17. The documents as published by Gold and Blue Nation, show the resignation letter as coming from the email of June Huggins, Bob's wife.

West Virginia counsel Stephanie Taylor responded calling the claims "completely factually inaccurate."

Monday's statement from Huggins claims to "set the record straight.
