Bearcats WBB Pushes Past Wichita State, 65-59

The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball posted a much-needed road win against the Wichita State Shockers on Saturday, outlasting the home team by a 65-59 margin.

Cincinnati (2-5, 1-2) hung on to a slim lead for much of the contest, winning the trading of jabs in the first quarter by a 16-14 margin.

The Shockers kept at it all the way through the contest, never trailing by more than 10. Cincinnati held Wichita State to a miserable .365 mark from the field, preventing the Shockers from ever making a genuine run.

As usual, the Bearcats were led by senior superstar IImar’i Thomas, who posted yet another double-double—this time in particularly convincing fashion.
