There will be no fans in attendance for the Cincinnati Bearcats football team's next two home games at Nippert Stadium.
University of Cincinnati Director of Athletics John Cunningham announced Thursday that the athletic department will extend its current football attendance protocols through the South Florida game scheduled for Oct. 3.
“We have extended a difficult decision to not allow fans into the stands for our first three home football games,” Cunningham said. “We still feel strongly about our obligation to our campus and to the City of Cincinnati and surrounding areas to mitigate the risk of community spread of the Coronavirus.
