GREENVILLE, N.C. – A Cincinnati football team that entered the week ranked last in the American Athletic Conference in total offense did little to reverse that trend in a 48-20 loss at East Carolina on Saturday.
The Bearcats fell to 3-8 this season and 1-6 in league play after mustering only 326 total yards against the Pirates, who pounced for a 21-0 lead in the first half and never trailed.
Down 24-13 at halftime, quarterback Hayden Moore and the Bearcats managed just one touchdown in the second half, and it was sandwiched between four scoring drives by ECU (3-8, 2-5).
