As the the 2020-21 college basketball season begins, University of Cincinnati Bearcats head coach John Brannen wishes he knew more about his basketball team.
With the season starting Dec. 2 against Lipscomb, Brannen got creative with an intrasquad scrimmage last Friday that felt like a simulated game.
“We got the most out of anything we’ve done this fall with 28 practices under our belt,” Brannen said.
Brannen split UC’s 13 scholarship players onto two different teams. When the players woke up on Nov. 20, they split into their separate teams and had separate shoot-arounds and pregame meals.
