Apparently, nothing can stop the University of Cincinnati basketball team these days. Not even an 18-point deficit.
The No. 8-ranked Bearcats appeared headed for defeat after trailing 33-15 in the first half, but UC stormed back to beat formidable Houston 80-70 on Wednesday night at Northern Kentucky University.
Senior forward Kyle Washington tied his season high with 19 points in leading UC. Junior guard Jacob Evans III scored 18 points and had seven rebounds and five assists. Sophomore guard Jarron Cumberland scored 14 points, and senior forward Gary Clark had 14 points and 10 rebounds for UC.
