The University of Cincinnati remains in the second tier of the weekly American Athletic Conference football rankings, voted upon by conference beat writers.
UC again is No. 7 in the 12-team rankings this week, after a 42-32 AAC loss to Navy. It was the first league game this year for UC.
This week, AAC play will be highlighted by unbeatens Memphis and UCF playing Saturday night in Orlando.

1. USF (4-0, 1-0 AAC): The Bulls allowed 85 total yards (fewest surrendered to a Division I foe in program history) in a 43-7 rout of Temple.
