In March 2020, the American Athletic Conference standings ended in a three-way tie for the top spot. Cincinnati, Houston and Tulsa didn’t get to settle that in the AAC Tournament, which was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The AAC is wide open again this season. Even though Connecticut left the league for the Big East, seven of the eleven remaining teams had a winning record last season.
