UC (2-2, 0-1 American Athletic Conference East) topped its previous worst defensive rushing day by 30 yards. That record had stood since 1989, when a roster depleted by NCAA probation and a coaching transition (Dave Currey to Tim Murphy) surrendered 539 yards rushing in a 56-3 home loss to Northern Illinois.
