The Cincinnati Bearcats' running back duo of Evan Pryor and Wisconsin transfer, Tawee Walker, both made the preseason watch list for the Doak Walker Award. The award is given to the most outstanding running back in college football that season.
The two running backs need to make up for the 1,264 yards last season by Corey Kiner, who is now playing for the San Francisco 49ers. Walker had 864 rushing yards last season, while Pryor had 599 from scrimmage.
Both have tremendous upside next season. Walker will get most of the carrier on 1st on 2nd down, while Pryor will likely get a majority of the third down snaps due to his versatility in the passing game.
